9 Days/7 Nights Beijing (4 nights) & Shanghai (3 nights)
Day 1: Honolulu - Beijing
Depart on your flight to Beijing, China.
Day 2: Arrive Beijing
Upon arrival into Beijing Capital International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day will be free at leisure.
Day 3: Beijing
Full day city orientation tours starting with the Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world. Followed by a visit to the massive Forbidden City. Built during 1405-1420 and also known as the Palace Museum, it consisted of political, living, and enjoyment area. In the afternoon visit the Temple of Heaven that is an architectural marvel built entirely of wood, joints and mortises, without using a single nail. Shopping at the Hongqiao Pearl Market if time permits. Enjoy the Beijing Duck Dinner China's Number 1 specialty at a local restaurant in the evening.
Day 4: Beijing
On day 4 you will have full day excursion including visit to the Ming Tombs and its Sacred Way in the morning. Then in the afternoon you will have the highlight of your trip, as you will visit the Great Wall at the Mutianyu section a very quiet and scenic part where you will take lift-chair.
Day 5: Beijing
The day is free of activities, and you may do some last-minute shopping. Optional tours are available upon request.
Day 6: Beijing - Shanghai
In the morning visit the Summer Palace, formed largely by water and favored by royal families in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911 AD). It's the most scenic park of Beijing as well as a Heritage Site of UNESCO. After Chinese lunch at local restaurant, transfer to airport for afternoon flight to Shanghai where, upon arrival meet and transfer to hotel and remainder of the day will be free at leisure.
Day 7: Shanghai
Your full day tours will start with the Historical Display Museum which tells the city═s past in a vivid way. The next stop is the Jinmao Tower on top of which you can get a nice view of the Bund. After lunch, visit the old city bazaar and Yu Garden as well as the Bund with Acrobatic Show in the evening.
Day 8: Shanghai
Another full day tours today include the best museum in China - Shanghai Museum, the Jade Buddha Temple that is often enveloped in incense smoke and walk around China's most prestigious shopping street - the Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. After Farewell Dinner at the Shanghai Uncle Restaurant, visit the Xintiandi which is frequented by both local and foreign tourists.
Day 9: Shanghai
Time to bid China good-bye, pack your memory away, as you transfer to Pudong Airport for your flight home.
